T-Shirt Club
The first rule of T-Shirt Club is you don't talk about T-Shirt Club.
6/15/08 The first attempt
So, we've been talking about making t-shirts for a long time. One day I stumbled across this awesome site with instructions on how to silk screen at home! I never took a silk screen class in school, which I regret. But anyway, this is my basement. Here I'm exposing the photo emulsion to stencil my image onto the screen. Unfortunately, when I went to wash away the unexposed emulsion, it all came out...
7/28/08 The second attempt
Here is the second attempt. Some of the exposed emulsion still washed out, giving the stencil an aged look.
Once we had the stencil, we set up our work space, down in my basement.
Thats me trying to put the hinges together.
My first print ever!
I think it came out rather well.
After 2 hours of drying and then some pretty intense ironing, the shirt is ready to go!
I believe the shirt is a medium women's. But it looks great on Sukie!
So, this is the Calenathrim Grunge (or "I am NOT from Imladris!") print. Let me know if you'd like a shirt from this stencil. We will be attempting a cleaner version once all grunge requests have been filled.
11/3/08 The Great Printing
I know I promised the Great Printing would be in October... I'm sorry. But it is done now! See how they turned out!
Here is some of the loot drying.
cal grunge olive.
cal olive.
cal brown.
cal black.
cel olive.
cel black.
cel green on grey.
They didn't come out as well as I had hoped, but still. Pretty good for my first major printing run!
