Kaleidoscope Baby Quilt
I did this baby quilt for my co-worker's third son, born 5/28/08.
Started ___
Here is the first layout after I cut all the pieces.
There is the center block, and some of my notes. I used a paper stencil to cut the triangles.
Sew the small triangles to the big ones, then so that to the big triangle next to it, then sew the doubles together so you get half a block. Do the other side and then sew the two halves together. This gives you the best center seam.
Naturally, after you make all the blocks, you sew them together. This is me and Cecile working at the office. Cecile was making a Octopus applique baby quilt for her friend.
Isn't it amazing! Her quilts are always increadable!
I decided to try hand quilting on this one. I found this cute world map fabric for the back and litteral sewed around the world!
Here is a close up of my hand quilting, when it was all done.
And the finished product! Finished ___
